It's more than the House. You're buying a community.
Joe and Cindy Loverde are long-time residents of the greater Catonsville area. They do business there, but they also are personally invested in the community. This spring they launched the Loverde Family Community Fund to help needy families and neighbors who live in Southwestern Baltimore County.

Joe serves on the board of the Catonsville Community College Foundation and is a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Catonsville. He is a past board member and president of ReVisions Foundation, a non profit community health organization, now known as Mosaic after a merger with Sheppard Pratt. He also served on the boards of the Baltimore County Commission of Arts & Sciences, Parents and Children Acting Together (PACT) and the Howard County Arts Council.

Most recently, Joe chaired the board of managers of the YMCA Western Family Branch, where he helped launch the YMCA’s successful $1.5 million capital campaign to rebuild the 35-year-old facility and campus on Rolling Road. For two years, he led the major gifts team for the annual Strong Kids Campaign, a scholarship program to help local families send their children to the pre-school, day care, and other YMCA programs.

The region: Among the best places to live in America.

Close to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. and only minutes from I-95, the MARC commuter train and Thurgood Marshall BWI airport, the communities of Southwestern Baltimore County, Howard County and Anne Arundel County are rich with cultural and recreational amenities, enjoy thriving economies, and have world-class schools. The area also boasts one of America’s great natural resources, the Chesapeake Bay, less than an hour away from any of these communities.

The areas have been praised for their livability and quality of life by the national media and are regularly listed among the most desirable places to live, do business, and raise a family in America. Columbia, Ellicott City, (#5 in 2006) Elkridge (& 46 in 2007) and Catonsville (#49 in 2007), among others, were named recently among the top 100 places to live in America by Money Magazine. Their school systems are regularly recognized nationally for their excellence in Newsweek’s list of top public high schools.
